Be Joyful

Pakkawan ‘Joy’ Umpornpunth is a product design graduate of Chiang Mai University’s Faculty of Fine Arts, where she honed her skills which she uses to ply her trade and passion – her eco-friendly Be Joyful products.
After graduation, Joy spent many years travelling arts and crafts fairs and various markets where she sold her many fun and charming bags, dolls, wallets and purses, key holders and stationary. In 2012, seeing the eco-friendly trend truly taking off in Thailand, Joy decided to play around with cork, a light weight, reusable, versatile and water- as well as fire-proof material which she used to create numerous product lines to great success. Today Joy works closely with the Mae Rim Housewives Group, who turn her fun and funky illustrated designs into reality.
In our shop you can order any of Joy’s bags with a bespoke design, pattern, and quotes, all hand made and aimed to elicit joy.
